Hello!

I’m Briana.

I create modern hand knitting patterns inspired by the landscapes of the American West. I pride myself on clear, size-inclusive instructions that help you create garments you truly love—pieces you’ll reach for again and again. My designs are rooted in slow craft, thoughtful construction, and a belief that knitting should feel both accessible and meaningful.

01 — THE ROOTS

I grew up in the foothills of Virginia’s Appalachian Mountains, a beautiful but relatively poor area. My mother sewed many of our clothes and crocheted our home textiles and blankets. I followed suit—first learning to crochet, then sew, and eventually teaching myself to knit. For us, making was more than just a hobby; it was a necessary way of life.

What began as a quiet spark in childhood has grown into a full-fledged knitting design business. Over the years, I’ve honed my skills and deepened my love for the craft, but my roots in resourcefulness and making with intention remain the same. I’m often thinking about how to design in ways that welcome stash yarn, minimize waste, and help knitters make the most of what they already have.

02 — THE INSPIRATION

When I’m not knitting, I’m rock climbing & exploring new places. Colorado is my home, and I love all the mountainous and deserty landscapes of the west. These are what inspire my designs.

I love translating the textures, colors, and motifs of the wild places I visit into each of my hand knitting patterns.

03 — THE COMPANION

Oh, and did I mention I’m a cat lover? After the unexpected passing of my sweet girl, Purl, last year, I welcomed a new little ball of black fluff into my life—Jade. She’s currently quite the wild child, but also the sweetest little thing. She’s following in her big sister’s footsteps as she learns to be an adventure kitty and trusty knitting companion.
